A quarry lost its primary crusher to a cracked and deformed feed chute. Removing the chute for workshop repair would have cost three days; the plant was already stopped.
We attended the same afternoon, cut out the failed section and plated it in place with a thicker wear liner overnight.
The challenge
A stopped crushing plant, a chute that could not practically be removed, and every hour of downtime costing production.
What we built
Mobile welding attended the same afternoon with generator and cutting gear. The failed section was cut out, replaced with heavier plate and a bolt-in wear liner so the next repair does not need a welder at all.
The results
Back in production the following morning, around eighteen hours after the call. The bolt-in liner has since been changed twice by the quarry's own fitters.
